Goonvean Fibres Limited selected Ayrmer Software to develop their website ahead of competition from a number of marketing and design agencies. Their current website was generating a few leads, but the results were disappointing and the sales and marketing team wanted to make the most of opportunities that the internet could potentially provide.

Outcomes

The aim of the project was to deliver a website that would perform well in the search engines whilst showcasing the entire range of products Goonvean Fibres manufacture from their base in Honiton, Devon for a worldwide audience.

Solution

A significant percentage of the products manufactured by Goonvean Fibres can be used for one or more applications - from lead acid batteries to paints and adhesives. This meant that the website had to reflect this, dynamically building product pages based on either the materials or applications selected by the user (via a menu based system). This meant the Content Management System (CMS) had to reflect these relationships, whilst presenting information in an intuitive fashion, enabling the team at Goonvean Fibres to update the product range as and when required.

Ayrmer Software provided the Goonvean Fibres team with training on the Content Management System (CMS) and advised them on the on page Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Goonvean Fibres populated the website, providing feedback on the system prior to the launch of the website and are now maintaining the content themselves.

Following the launch of the website it was fully indexed by Google and has been performing well, exceeded their expectations in terms of the stated objectives.

Arymer Software have designed a fantastic, user friendly web based system achieving the goals set by Goonvean Fibres. Since going live, enquires generated through the website have increased significantly and we are now able to support our global distribution network through the online product database.
